Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. So we finally have a new challenge and it’s another free choice. This time I’m going to write about something I call Gala Day. So just this morning I was participating in a school sport event called ‘Gala Day.’ The Year 5/6′s had to choose between Soccer or Softball. I didn’t mind and I got put into Soccer. We arrived at school at 8:00am and waited for the bus. We put on our shirts on and for the long bus ride. Once we got onto the playing field we waited for our first match to start. Eventually we got through all four games and we won 3 out of 4 games. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. First of all I’m pretty sorry for not putting alot of posts up lately. I’ve been kind of lazy but now here is the latest post yet. So we finally have ended our school swimming program and it was a blast! We were divided into 2 groups. I was in the 1st group and we started with the fun activities like Ship and Shore, Spin around to make a giant whirlpool and all sorts of stuff like that. Then when 20 minutes was over we swapped with the other group and we got onto the inflatable obstacle course. We had a few tries on it and I slipped quite alot here and there but it was so tiring in the end. That’s going to be all for today so… later Choobsters!

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. As some of you know I put up a post about Word Mania, if you haven’t seen it click here. So there are 10 days left to sign up for Word Mania and participate for the Qualifying Rounds. I decided to let you guys know so you can be alerted that the event is coming. So I’m going to talk to you about the rest of the features of Word Mania which I didn’t tell you in my previous post.

Rules

So there are 9 rules in Word Mania and they are;

Scoring

Participants will be given 15 randomly selected letters displayed on the screen. They have to create words using the letters on the screen. Scores are awarded if the word is appropriate and more points for the length and it’s complexity.

Acceptable use

Words appearing on this list are invalid and will not generate a score.

Players must be registered by a parent or guardian

An adult must register a kid to play the National Word Mania Challenge. They must be in the correct age group, school and state.

Acceptance of terms and conditions

Parents must read and accept the terms and conditions when registering students. (Yet no one ever reads them!)

Use of registered accounts

A kid must not share an accout or make more and

A student must not share their account with other students or create multiple accounts. Only the named student, registered in their correct age group, may use the account to play the games.

Rounds:

The registration round is open from 17 August 2012 – 21 October 2012.

Qualifying Round
The qualifying round will take place from the 22 – 28 October 2012. Players can register during the registration round and the qualifying round Students scoring in the top 25% of each age group will move into the State finals round.

Semi-Final
The semi-finals will run from the 29 – 31 October 2012. The top 15 students from each age group will progress to the grand final.

Grand Final
The final is on the 1 November 2012. Top scoring students in each age group will win the final prize. Secondary prizes are awarded to State finalists.

Announcements of the finalists will be made between the 2 – 23 November 2012.

Games to be played

Each student can play up to 25 games in the qualifying round, 15 games in the semi-final and 5 games in the grand final. Students are not required to play every game in each round.

The best 15 scores in the qualifying round, the best 10 scores in the semi-final, and a total score in the grand final will be used to determine each student’s overall scores in each round.

Identity dispute

If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, Intrepica Pty Ltd reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate the student’s registered account.

Honesty

The competition relies on the honesty of entrants who are participating in the competition to use their own skills and ability.

So those were the rules you need to follow and now I’m going to move onto the prizes you may obtain.

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. So this challenge was all about mathematics and  there were many options to write about and I chose to write about Free Rice. So Free Rice is a little mini game where there are a variety of topics and when you choose a topic you have a question to answer. For every correct answer you donate 10 grains and for every wrong answer you get 0 grains of rice. So I recently signed up and joined the group ‘Student Blogging Challenge’ and I chose the topic Multiplication  (Knowing that Challenge 5 was about Maths) So I have donated  250 grains of rice so far and our goal is to reach 1,000,000 grains of rice at the end of the Blogging Challenges! Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. So this is Challenge 4 of the Blogging Challenge and as the title suggests this post is free choice. That means we could write about anything and the topic I have chosen is More Minecraft! So if you guys have been following me for quite a while you would know  that for Challenge 2 of the Student Blogging Challenge I did a basic overview about the 3 different realms of Minecraft and all the mobs. So now I’m going to tell you about the many more features of Minecraft. So I’m going to start with a little something called ‘Mods’. If you haven’t already guessed Mod stands for ‘Modifications.’ You install these into your Minecraft game which can change your game. There are 2 types of mods. Ones that change your game completely or just some that introduce minor changes. A major game changer is the mod called Mo’ Creatures which adds in a whole lot of different mobs and items. A mod that gives a minor change is the Timber Mod. The only change it offers is cutting down a whole tree by destroying the bottom block. Now I’ll move onto Texture Packs which simply gives a new look to Minecraft.

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. So just today at 11 in the morning we woke up with our dad telling us that we were going on a fishing trip with our uncle. It was all so sudden that I had no time to think about it. So there we were in the car, travelling far and wide. Waiting to arrive in the fishing pond then we arrived at Karkarook Park. It was FREEZING! So we casted our lines and waited for ages… as usual. Then out of now where a MASSIVE storm came and we had to quickly pack up and head for shelter. The storm was MASSIVE and we were all freezing. I couldn’t feel my hands and it was so numb. Once the storm cleared up we left to our uncle’s house and we all had pizza. Afterwards we picked up our mum and left towards home.

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. I know alot of people have seen the new hit ‘Gangnam Style’ made by Psy but I know alot of people can’t dance to it properly. (including me!) I noticed I needed to do some training so night and day I’ve been looking for the Gangnam Style dance routine and have been dancing to it for 50 years! I decided I needed to teach the younger generation so I created this book. It’s going to be in a store near you so enjoy!

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. It was just yesterday when we went to Chadstone. We had to get a present so we went to Target. We had to go into the Toys sections which was near the Games section so it was a ‘win win.’ I also noticed a giant poster about a new Pokemon named ‘Keldeo.’ It was one of those Pokemon which you could get out of a special distribution. It was limited chance and since my brother had his DS with him he got the rare Keldeo. I asked my Dad to get my DS out of the car so I had to wait for a while until he came back with my DS! So then I got the very rare Keldeo which was level 15. I didn’t care because it was SO rare. It’s starting moves were: ‘Aqua Jet‘, ‘Leer‘, ‘Double Kick‘ and ‘Bubble Beam.’ That’s it for today so I hope you enjoyed!

Hey guys! I’m back with some more chooby goodness. So this challenge was to do something about our world. I decided to create my own mini-game using ClassTools. So this mini-game is called Lights-Out. There are 5 Light Outs of things in Australia and in the comments leave your answers. The answering system will work like this: If you comment the answers I will check the answers, approve them and reply like this ‘CJ got 5 out of 5.’ Then I’ll delete your comment so nobody can see the answers.
